- I received a grant from the Hornby Educational Trust to study an MA in TESOL at the University of Brighton in the United Kingdom (UK) (2009-2010). The Hornby Educational Trust offers grants to English language teachers and teacher trainers in developing countries to go to the UK to study postgraduate courses.
- I was awarded the degree of Master of Arts with Distinction in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) by the University of Brighton - UK (2010)

OTHER SKILLS:
- Extensive use of web 2.0 and 3.0 tools for professional and personal goals. I have been using various tools (e.g. blogs, wikis, podcasts, Skype, Voxopop, Voicethread, Jing, Brainshark, Glogster, etc.) to enrich the process of language teaching across the courses I usually teach at my workplace.
- Languages: Spanish: native. English: excellent. French: reading knowledge.
